Most parents are worried about when to let their kids brush their teeth after they get up in the mornings. Some parents will make them brush them as soon as they get up and some will make wait until after they eat breakfast.
Are you one of these parents this isn’t sure when to let your kids brush their teeth? Most people say brush before breakfast rather than after breakfast. We will clarify when it is best for them to brush their teeth.
BENEFITS OF HAVING YOUR KIDS TO BRUSH WHEN THEY FIRST GET UP
There are many different benefits of having your kids to brush their teeth when they first get up. Having them to brush when they first wake up is the best way to go. Brushing them first thing in the morning will get rid of all the bacteria from the night before, while brushing their teeth the night before they do clean their teeth, but they do not sterilize them.
The bacteria are still there growing around their teeth while they are sleeping. Letting them brush after breakfast is something we should try to avoid, it takes about twenty minutes for the acids to break down that food they just consumed. Brushing during this time will cause the acids to break up and go into the pore of their tooth enamel.
So, after they eat breakfast the best thing for them to do is just rinse their mouth out with water only. You want to try and make sure they brush their teeth at least three times a day for proper teeth care. That way they can keep their beautiful smile for a lifetime.
These are some of the benefits of why we should have our kids brush their teeth first thing in the morning and before they go to bed. For more information, please contact us at our office.
